CCR Testimonials
Tim DunnChesterland, Ohio Taken from Tim's Titan Training Logbook:
"Wednesday was the only day we would run the units as an ‘E’, electronic. Previously we had only operated the units manually and made a large number of ascents and descents on almost every dive to get used to adjusting PO2. Now that the units operated automatically, I was really impressed as to how close to the set point the unit was able to maintain, distinctly better than I was able to manually."
"I went to the Titan factory and met Dr. Randy Klein-Gross and Web Jessup, their Engineer. Web spent four hours with me completely disassembling the unit far beyond the amount required for normal day to day service. A complete set of tools came with the unit and included are several special tools specific to the Titan. Seeing the unit completely torn down just confirmed what I had seen initially, a very well engineered, well executed unit."

Based on all the diving that I have done with the Titan eCCR and other rebreathers, this is the greatest unit ever built. It performs flawlessly in many different environments such as the very cold or steamy, hot Mexican jungle weather. As for the rest of the Titan gear especially the Hydrolights, they take quite a lot of abuse. They are built tough to withstand rough boats, jungle off-road rides and still perform like new.
One time when diving, I was swimming hard in a Mexican cave. I thought about how wonderfully light and streamlined the unit is. It took hardly any effort to swim compared with other bulkier units or double steel tanks. The Titan eCCR is great for cave or wreck diving.
I believe that Titan Dive Gear products are the next step in diving with superior support by the Titan team. All products are built with great engineering details and are extremely user-friendly, easy to assemble, maintain, and to clean. It brings a worry-free attitude to my expedition CCR dives and I am looking forward to all the future products.
Georgia HaussermanKey Largo, FloridaI purchased the Titan CCR almost a year ago and am very happy with my decision. The compact size makes it a perfect unit in caves and wrecks. The back mounted counterlungs allow me to configure my harness exactly the same as on open circuit and in the water it feels very much like I'm wearing my doubles, except that I don't have the noise and time constraints as on open circuit. Out of the water the weight is about equal to wearing a steel 100cf tank. Because the pre- and post-dive check lists are very straight forward and take very little time, I use my Titan on all my recreational dives including shallow reef dives. I've also been very impressed with the outstanding customer service provided by everyone at Titan Dive Gear. I enthusiastically recommend the Titan CCR to anyone interested in a rebreather for either recreational or technical diving.
